Cubs

For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key. Their programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; whilst allowing them to be creative and get involved in their local communities. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences.
We have two Cub Packs for 8-10½, both running the same programme.

  • Monday Pack (Eagles)
  • Led by Neil (Akela), John (Shere Khan), Claire
  • We meet from 6:30-8:00pm
  • Thursday Pack (Lions)
  • Led by Miriam (Akela), Martin S (Bal00)
  • We meet from 7-8:30pm

The parent rep is Emma

We welcome parents to also come and help out.

Both groups meet for games, have fun doing practical things towards a range of different activity and challenge badges from outdoor skills, community and things like sport and online skills. We go on sleepovers and camps throughout the warmer months – both packs come together for camps, as well as sometimes joining with the wider group and other cub packs in the district.

We currently have a waiting list for Thursday, but have space on Monday. We also have a longer term waiting list. Please note being on the waiting list is just that – sadly we often don’t have spaces before your child is too old to attend.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
