Cubs Sleepover

Date: 11th Feb 2019 Author: GSL

Both Eagle and Lion Cub Packs enjoyed an indoor camp last weekend (9th February 2019), making novel use of traditional patrol tents for that authentic camping feel!  The sleepover followed a bracing hike around Devil’s Punchbowl in Hindhead with parents and siblings, then a delicious meal cooked by some of the parents.  The Cubs played board games until “bed” time. On Sunday morning they had a fantastic breakfast before heading home – I wonder how many fell asleep in the car on the way?

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
