One month to go to the big tidy weekend!

Date: 9th Feb 2018 Author: Scout Websites

Calling all leaders, helpers and parents!

Our annual clean up day is Saturday 10th March, where we’ll be spending most of the day at Sheerdale continuing the process of developing the stores and tidying up the meeting rooms.  This is our annual effort, so do help if you can, although you don’t need to come to all of it – do what time you can.  There are things you can help with for all abilities to help us organise, tidy and sort.  We’ll also be looking over the equipment and reviewing what needs repair or replacement.  It’s also fantastic fun and a chance to catch up with others.

At the end of the day, those who would like to join us, some of us are heading over to Birchmere to have a meal and a sleepover.  This is also a great opportunity to review the site, and check out the latest facilities in the new buildings.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
