About us

We are a Scout group providing Scouting to young people between the ages of 6 and 14 in the heart of Surrey, UK.

About us

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

The four key areas of our vision are growth, inclusivity, youth shaped and community impact.

Sheerwater is a lively and vibrant Scout group that loves the outdoors, learning new skills and developing our members. Set up in 1956, we celebrated our 60th anniversary in 2016 marked with one of our biggest family camps yet.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
